Hmm...torn between two new carry guns.

So I'm looking for a new CCW and I'm torn between an M&Pc 9 and a glock 26...just curious what everyone thinks. I'd get a subcompact XD but XD's aren't MA compliant. Any thoughts on either of the two mentioned above??

I had a Glock 26 and I am so happy not to have it now. I didn't like it at all.

So two thoughts - the M&Pc 9 or get the M&P or the Glock 19

Neither..
Sorry I'm no help..

Sig P239 9mm would be my choice.
I had a Glock 26 and the backstrap dug into the palm of my hand.
Sold it when I bought the XD9sc.

But I will ask, why is a Glock MA compliant while an XD is not?
I don't understand the CA & MA - BS rules....

I'd go with the M&P, a little more modular a various backstraps.

I checked out a P239 and I wasn't crazy about the weight/size compared to other firearms serving the same purpose. And don't ask me about the glock compliant/ SA not, I live in the state and still don't have a freakin' clue. Apparently S.A refused to meet MA's ludicrous standards for state compliant weapons. However, from the feedback I'm getting the M&P is sounding a lot better to me. I own a full size M&P and a glock 23 and the M&P is light years better in regards to comfortability and ergonomics in MHO. Maybe you guys just helped me help myself make up my mind.

Yes the P239 is a bit heavy and also only holds 8 +1.
But I love mine.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

I am a sucker for Glocks... I'd say the G30SF is one of my favorite carry guns right now.

Between the two that you have listed, I would definitly recomend the M&P9c. I have recently become a huge fan of the M&P series of pistols. I feel that they are the best "feeling" pistols out there, of course that is completely my opinion. I think the changable backstraps are amazing in how well they can adapt the pistol to fit your hand. I prefer the trigger also, but thats just me. Long story short, my go-to pistol right now is my M&P.

The only reason I would say to go with the glock is if it feels good in your hand.

I'd go with the Glock. It has a shorter overall height, which makes it usable for pocket carry. It also has a shorter overall length, which also helps in pocket carry applications. Not to mention, the Glock has and almost infinite aftermarket for parts & accessories. I've fired both and for me, the G26 is the best all around sub-compact 9mm. I also own the SIG P239 and the HK P7, but the G26 offers more firepower in a package that is easier to carry and offers more carry possibilities. You might want to also compare holster availability between the two models. I prefer leather, and there's not a lot of leather out there for the M&Pc unless you go with a full custom job.
