I've got 3 Mec-Gar MG-SP228 Mags here that I believe are for an Sig P228. Am I correct? 10-round, nickel color. Here's what they look like (big picture to follow):

I just bought a nice used W. German P228 that was made in 1991. Wasn't really in the market, but one came around and for a shade over 400 bucks...how could I pass it up?
With only 2 boxes of Blazer Brass through it (to check function)....I can honestly say I think I am really going to like this pistol! I need to test some HPs before I'd trust it to carry, but if it performs anything like my P220 or P225...it ought to be just fine. BTW, the P228 was every bit as accurate as my Swiss P225.
I am only going to use SIG factory mags....just as I have with my other 2 SIGs.
So far...so good with the neat little P228. I now see why they're so sought after. Gotta love the W. German P-series guns...they're fantastic!

Yes, those are 228 mags. MecGar does make Sigs mags as well as others pistol manufacturers magazines on contract. I love my Sig and it's my primary these days.

Those are the 228 mags as mentioned above, but I dont use anything but factory. I have 3 factory 13rnd mags for it and 2 aftermarket 15round mags (USA Mag) and they work fine, but I wouldnt trust them for SD

I own a Sig P228 and only use factory Sig magazines for it. When the AWB sunset I went out and bought several 13 shot mags for it.
I still have a number of 10 rounder's but carry the 13 shot mags when I carry my P228.....no sense giving up three rounds per mag if you don't have to.

I realize that, but all of my 228 mags are the old zipper back 13rnd mags. I have a couple of the newer dovetail backs also, but those are all marked as LE use only.
I have a couple of Sig factory 20 rounders also... Love those mags
