Mine is a 78 looks pretty good, has some real wear in some places but overall, pretty good.
TWO QUESTIONS
1. Just saw on GlockTalk (boo) that models earlier than 80 wont fire JHP. WTF?

2. what other sig mags will work in this gun? ones that i can buy TODAY. I dont care if it sticks out the bottom. Its a range toy.

THANKS!!

Funny you post this, I should be getting my P6 on Friday. It'll come with two mags, but I'll probably be looking for more if I really like it (and from what I've read, I will like it a lot). I hear P225 mags are compatible since they are the civilian version of the P6.

A P6 can only use P6/P225 mags. No other Sig models' mags are compatible. The supply is pretty much gone. You can find ProMags, but they may or may not work. You might find one here or there on ebay or gunbroker but you will pay a LOT for them.

Nay, just gun broker or guns america type auction sites.

Took mine out shooting on Monday and shot the center of the silohouette out. It was very accurate and didn't have a single failure. I was using FMJ ammunition and didn't try JHP at all. Mine was made in April of 1980. It is only one year younger than me!
