I urge each and everyone of you to: Find an attorney BEFORE YOU NEED ONE and NEVER TALK TO THE POLICE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES without FIRST having a Lawyer Present! Watch, listen AND learn.

The best piece of advice was given to me by my Uncle, a retired LEO.
"You have a right to remain silent, use it. You have the right to legal representation, take it."

I know a guy that pretty much got screwed over by the police because he didn't know his rights. My ex-detective teacher even said he was wrongfully charged.

Never volunteer any information...that's pretty much what I've been taught for everything. Having a lawyer handy is a very good idea these days...you don't win or lose in court because you're guilty or innocent these days...

Remember, anything you say will become permanent and on the record. Long story, but to make it quick: a friend was asked to come to the court house to make a voluntary statement......he was not charged with any crime, but was found guilty in a civil court for what he said on the record....by the defendant.

There was much more to it, but even if you are on the side with the police, have your attorney present to keep the record clean.

Yeah, NEVER talk to the police. When or if you dial 911 keep your mouth SHUT, they should have called you first and told YOU that you were robbed. If you are robbed DON'T say a word. They are trying to trick you!! They will say YOU robbed yourself.

A friend of mine knows a guy that said something to the cops and now he is in PRISON forever, they didn't even give him a trial. Oh yeah and they beat him every day and call him BAD NAMES.

Wow, I hope you keep the cave well stocked with tin foil!

I think this post is a little extreme but do agree that you ought to use your right to remain silent and to an attorney.

Wow, I hope you keep the cave well stocked with a sense of humor.

Seriously if you can't recognize sarcasm? I just love all the anti-cop postings. Sometimes I laugh so much I just have to respond with something funny.

p.s. Don't forget that all cops are liars, racists, crooked, fat, have a personal vendetta against you and just plain mean!
