Question $249 for a Buckmark .......

I believe it was the Camper and it was used, but appeared to be in very good condition. Is this a good price or should I just buy new?

Shop around and buy new.
I paid about $250 for a new Camper just under a year ago.

AZXD,

Thanks..... just the response I was looking for. When I looked to find the model it just said Buckmark. But from the pics on the browning website it looked like a camper. If it were a camper would it clearly state camper? Or may it be the standard?

My understanding is the base model is the camper. I picked mine up at the local Sportsman's Warehouse. If you have one around, check them out.

It's a fun little gun. If you try it, you'll like it!!
Here's mine with a B-Square mount and Bushnell Holosight. The scope really helps the balance and makes for a great can killer

Just bought my Camper for $245 NIB from Bass Pro Shops here in Mesa, AZ.

Found some new ones all around town for no more than $275.

AZXD, how do you like your Camper? I'm having some feeding issues with mine but I like the feel of it so much and it's so much fun, I don't want to give it up. I've only put about 200 rounds thru it so far.

Try running some CCI Mini-mags through it and see if you have any issues.

Mine will jam occasionally if I'm using cheap ammo and I don't clean it... If I use minimags tho, it wont jam whether its clean or dirty or freezing or 100 degrees out

I love it. Follow Rob's advice.
22's can be ammo sensitive. If you find something it likes, stick with it.
I guess I got lucky, mine likes the Remington golden bullet (cheap) and will go a long time without cleaning. Honestly, I forget ... But one time, it was either 1000 or 1500 rounds between cleanings.
ETA: But I take care of it now. That was an experiment.

Play with ammo brands and the stuff it doesn't like will give you a reason to also have a 22 revolver

I've tried the Remingotn golds 550 round box, cci high velocity and now I got some stingers to try out. Now I've got all this 22 ammo laying around that I just can't shoot. Gonna have to get a 10/22 rifle to shoot it all I guess.
