Here in GA a GFL (CCW) means that you do not have to pay for the Brady check. The paperwork still needs to be filled out but no phone call has to be made. We don't have waiting periods or quantity limits here anyway but it does save the $10.00 background check fee per purchase. Purchase 4 guns over the 5 year period and it pays for itself.

Yes you're good to go with the CCH in N.C., will bypass the call in and all. They will make a copy of your drivers license and your CCH, you fill out the ATF forms and you go with the gun.

i feel sorry for those of you in enemy territory. what is bad is that some of you are ok with crap laws.

After waiting for months just to purchase one handgun W/O a CHP in NC, having the permit is a true blessing, especially when you find just what you want in an out of town LGS, and can just present the permit and some $$$, and walk out the door with it in just a few minutes.
Of course, a Castle Doctrine law would be nice....

With a Concealed Weapons Permit in Washington State you still have to go though the check but there's no three day wait. You fill out the paperwork, the dealer makes the phone check you pay your money for the weapon and your out the door with the handgun.
Just bought a S&W J Frame 38 at a pawn shop in Port Angles, WA a couple of weeks ago it was stated on a flyer that you either had to supply or buy a gun lock before the weapon could leave the shop as it was the law. When I asked the owner of the shp if I had yo buy or bring a gun lock in he stated no that I didn't need to as I had a CCW just stick the revolver in your pocket and go with the revolver.

NC CHL in NC= NO permit required.
You're good to go.
Unfortunately my TX CHL doesn't allow me to by pass that little deal even though I'm stationed out here.
Oh well I just buy my handguns back home in Texas.

I know a lot of states issue licenses for multiple years. A lot can happen in those years that a check could weed out.

And pretty much ANYTHING that results in all your weapons be confiscated OR having a conviction like that would result in immediate revocation/confiscation of your CHL in the first place so in the end having the check doesn't really do any good if you already have your CHL.

If I understand right, a cpl issued in Michigan allows one to carry in states with reciprocity, such as Florida. Can I use a MI cpl to purchase in FL?
