Are there any good double stack .45acp non XD's?This is a discussion on Are there any good double stack .45acp non XD's? within the Non-XD Handguns forums, part of the Other Handgun Talk category; ...With and without hammers out there? Do you own any? I'm just curious (and very very bored). Thanks in advance....

umm... no glocks ok but DO NOT BUY A MIDSIZE. The mid size weighs more than the large. Its ridiculous. However someone on this forum this week blew one up. so I guess no. Para-ordinance makes one, but I don't know how it handles (their .40s are hit or miss, but a hit is amazing)

S&W's M&P? I think they hold 12 or 13 rounds. Not positive though

the 1911's are great but they're single stack. I really don't know of any double stack 45's. Glock just doesn't cut it, and the H&K's are INSANELY bulky.

both the full and midsize M&P45 are 10+1. the soon to come M&Pcompact 45 will hold 8+1. it is a great firearm.

Yeah, I've always been a fan of the M&P

STI makes a few double stack 45's that are excellent pistols.
STI International - Tactical 5.0
Para Ordinance also makes double stack 45's. Glock makes a fine 45 that I prefer to the XD due to the trigger pull mostly and the mags are more durable by far. HK's are bulky but they work fine. The Smith M&P is also a good choice.
