Ok, since no one has said it so far:
Hi Point 9mm carbine

I know it is ugly as sin but it's cheapness makes up for the ugliness. It is cheaper than the Beretta by quite a bit and you can't break them.

I vote CX4 storm, I have had mine almost 2 years now. Great gun, accurate, reliable, small and compact, and can be tricked out pretty well. Mine is a 40S&W PX4 configuration. 17 rds in 40 is nice... now if the 45 held more I would be all over it like donkey kong. I also bought a 9mm AR this year as a present to myself. It is also nice, accurate and 32 rounds on tap is a great thing. Not so great. It jams a bit. Had a BAD jam where the round got wedged between the bolt and the trigger asy. Would not let the bolt go allthe way forward. That was a rough one to get out. But the more I shot it the better it gets. With almost 1000 rounds it has mellowed out a bit, the the cx4 with 3000 rounds has had 2 issues and one was a experiment. the case was dented a bit and I decided to see what she would do. Did not even load, I would trust it with my life if I had to. Both shoot nice groups for a pistol round. I was looking at the hipoints, but I have seen lego projects my daughter made that look better. If funds permit me I will get a PS90 too... maybe birthday present in May.

The CX4

I have a highpoint that I replaced the stock on. It is a fun gun to shoot. I don't know that I would consider it as a best carbine. But it is cheap and fun to shoot. I let my kids shoot it. It is an excellent gun for kids. It has enough recoil to impress them and they learn good weapons handeling as it does incur ftf's as a result of crappy mags.

Fn Ps90

I almost pulled the trigger today on buying an FN PS90 5.7x28 Bullpup. I saw a nice olive drab model with the Tritium white optic sight for $1649. This sight can wash out on white targets. The prefered sight is the USG/USSS version which has a high contrast black reticle used by the US secret Service. I saw a black stocked PS90 with this better sight but for a higher price of $1899. I would prefer the black reticle sight with the OD color stock at a low price. Another shop said they can get me one, but for the high price of $2100.

The trouble is, this gun has had a recent price increase of $400 and the price will only get higher. It is also unconventional looking enough that it could get banned in the future.

The price of online ammo has dropped to $19/50 rounds. To shoot it at my indoor range, I have to pay range prices on ammo (probably $25/50 rounds)

Plus I heard that this gun is a money pit. The accessories, lasers, optics, $50 spare mags, carry bags, slings, etc, all add up. It's cool as hell though. I might get one at the next gun show.

I agree with the Hi Point 9mm.......I used to have one but sold it (need fast money) plus with the aftermarket stock you can make it look like a CX4 storm and the gun itself sells for around 200 bucks

I want the trirail version, that way the optic is upto me. Mags are abit, but also hold 50 rds. Ammo is decently priced, but I heard (heresay here) that reloading is a bit of a pain. Still I will get one. Just need to do it sooner or later. Color I dont really care about, just has to have to tri rail. If you get one first, let me know wht you think. I know that "shipwreck" on here has both the PS90 and the CX4. I have the CX4 and AR 9mm, Wouldnt mind a real tommygun, but the price kills me.
