Great choice! I'd like one of those! Please post a range report once you've spent some time with it. I'd be interested to hear how it handles lighter loads with the other piston installed. So many guns so little money....we are living in good times as far as weapon availability!

FN Hersal Vs. Mossberg 930 spx from a side by side picture comparison...

(Starting from the buttstock forward)

1. The Mossberg looks to have a higher cheek rest.

2. Different butt stock checkering

3. The Mossberg has a safety on top the receiver while the FN has a safety on the trigger assembly

4.Trigger assembly's are shaped different, the Mossberg has more of a square assembly while the FN has a more rounded assembly.

5. If you look closely, the scope rails and sight seem to be different.

6. Forends are shaped differently, the FN's forend has a sling swivel, the mossberg does not.

7. Magazine extensions are different.

8. The FN's barrel is even with the magazine extension, the Mossbergs barrel is shorter then the magazine extension. ( Is the barrel length on the Mossberg shorter then the FN barrel, or is it that the magazine tube on the Mossberg is longer then the FN's magazine tube? Hard telling.. I wonder if either barrel is a true 18"? When I get my FN, we can take some measurements.
