Need holster help
Ok, im looking for a new IWB holster for my compact 1911 (officers). I want something with the smooth leather OUT because the rough side tends to rub my thigh too much and I would rather the holster postion itself as I sit or stand. I dont care much for kydex clips because I am less than impressed with their holding power.
In the past I owned a Fist #1A made from leather that was used for my XDsub. When I traded the gun, I sent the holster with it. They make this holster in ultrathin kydex too and Im wondering how comfortable it is. I was VERY impressed with my first Fist holster.
If anyone owns a good holster in the 60.00 range that uses a metal clip, I would love to hear about it. Im not a big fan of the leather snap straps either, based on one cheap holster that I own. Anyways, im looking for suggestions and holsters with a sweat shield would be prefered.
Thanks!

Desantis Cozy Partner. I love both of mine. My K40 dissapears in my beltline and even a full sized 1911 is concealable under a T shirt.

+1 I have 2 Cozy Partners, one for my EMP one for my XDs. I love it. The leather straps are not cheap at all.

Plus terrific service. Turnaround time was about 4-5 weeks.

I looked at your holsters but I think the leather paddle wouold keep me from positioning the gun where I would like to in referance to my belt loops.
Cozy partner huh? I have 3 desantis holsters and they are all pretty nice, I'll take a closer look at these. Does the leather at the bottom dig into your thigh at all or is the bottom rounded or contoured?

The bottom has never rubbed into my thigh, the leather is rounded away from your leg. They don't call it cozy for nothing!

It doesn't dig in at all and the bottom is rounded, They stay put very well. I can drive for 9-10 hrs and not even know it's there.
