Whats a good next gun for carry?

I know there's been lots of discussion as to what a good CCW size pistol should be. There are those that like to carry the huge .45s and those that carry the little kel-tech P3ATs. I was just wondering, if I currently have an XD service, what should I save up my cash for next if I wish to get a good CCW gun? I'll be taking my CHL class this weekend and plan to carry my XD till I get the cash for something a little smaller since I'm not a huge guy and carrying a full size pistol in the summer might be a hassle (I'm 6 ft 175lbs). Should I consider saving for an XDsc? Or just get a pocket gun like a kel-tech (Kahr PM9 and PM40 are kinda pricey)? Or go in completely the other direction and get a S&W 442 revolver? Any thoughts?

My vote goes for a Ruger SP101 or a S&W Model 642.

Small pocket revolvers in either .357 mag (ruger) or .38sp S&W

I'm not a big guy either (6'1" 165lbs) and I have no problem carrying my XD service and Kel-tec p-3at when I'm dressed in casual clothing.

My 45 compact is not difficult to conceal, but when I want to forget its there the subcompact cant be beat! I could not have a better combo!

I'm about your size as well (6ft 180lbs) and have carried the following w/o a problem: Glock 19, XD9sc, HK USPc, and even my clunky big old Beretta 96. During the Summer months, I did carry the XD the most, as it was the smallest of all those. I don't think you'll have a problem with anything listed so far.

I plan on getting a single stack 9mm for carry. P239 is at the top of my list. Another choices I had in mind was the HK P2000SK, G26, and the Para Hawg 9.
