I did it again, AGAIN!!!
Ok. I may have to admit I am getting a bit out of control here.
Well, today I ran by the gun store on my way to work to pick up some ammo for my ROMAK 3. So I am look up from the case and I saw one of my absolute DREAM guns sitting among the revolvers.
Its a Smith & Wesson Model 36 in, of course, .38 Special. I have wanted one of these for the longest time. There is something classy about these to me that makes me think of old timer detectives and plainclothes officers from back in the day. Its pictured below next to its modern counterpart, my off-duty carry and on-duty back-up piece, a GLOCK 27.

I too found a used 98% Mod 36 this year and just love it. It dated to mid '68/early '69, and i got OTD for just over $300.00.
I'm curious what you had to give for yours?

Well, I thimk this is my 14th or 15th gun. I am not sure though. I will have to get 'em all out and count them.
I paid $299 for the Smith and its in almost new condition. Its a 1975 to 1976 production model. I am hoping to find out more soon. Next comes some nice leather for it 'cause I will carry it!
