With the MP .45 out now, would you still buy your XD45 today?
Seeing that many XD owners bought their guns BEFORE the MP .45 came out, if you had to do it all over again, would you?
If you buying a .45 today, and your choices were MP.45 or the XD45 would you make the same decision?
Why?
thanks

Have you pulled the trigger on an M&P?????
I picked one up the other day. Felt like I was pulling it through a bucket of gravel. Put it down, grabbed another, same thing. Grabbed number 3... worse.
I think the XD has the best trigger of any striker-fired gun.

Well considering I got the compact .45 I don't believe I would go with a full size .45 that holds the same as my compact.
I am under the impression that they use a grip extension to get the 14+1 rounds on the M&P and the default is 10+1
The only .45 I'll be getting with a lower capacity is a 1911
I also don't like the way I shoot the M&P granted I got to shoot the 9mm but just like a glock I naturally point the dang thing down.
However the grip is more comfortable on the M&P.
I wouldn't mind getting a 9mm full size pistol and this one is on the list... Just for fun.

Nope, but a M&P is not out of the question down the line (however it will most likely be in .40S&W).
The XD .45 Compact is what I wanted, and what I bought. Had S&W offered a compact M&P I would have considered that.

I agree the M&P trigger action has a sort of gritty feeling to it (I also did trigger pulls of 4 different ones), I would stick with the XD.

I never really considered the M&P , because the XD (in other calibers) has a longer track record.

Yep...
For reasons I've stated elsewhere, I'm glad I did what I did and feel no need to buy an M&P.

I prefer the XD45 to the M&P45...with both out today I still would have gotten either of my XD45s before I got an M&P45.
