S.A. needs to purchase HiPoint

and not change a thing ,

I purchased a 995 carbine last month, and I like it ,I enjoy it, it shoots really well out too 50 yards.
the price is great ( compared to other 9mm carbines)
I am larger than average and it's ergonomics are "right on" for me. I find its iron sights better than those on my Sks or Winchester lever action.

the amount of bad stuff about this gun on the www. is Huge!, but I have found that the majority of the negative speak is from lookers, not owners,

the only reason I say that S.A. should purchase the company and its great warrenty, is to increase production numbers. it took me two weeks to find one here in AZ.

My only modification may be an UltraDot scope, ( my 50 year old eyes need some help)

I plan on getting one of the .45 acp models , when they come available.

Cool for you . I live in Ohio where they are made, and they are hard to find even here. Some here like them, many don't. Fellow forum member Hobocircus loves his. One of these days I want to get one.

Hard to find? I didnt have that problem in Colorado, just looked up dealers and called around to find the cheapest one, which happened to be at a favorite gun shop. It's one of my favorite rifles.

$159? I probably wouldn't be able to walk away. Especially if it was a .40

Yea, SA needs a High Point like BMW needs a Ford Escort.

I drive a BMW, my nephew an Escort. Escorts, like High Points have a purpose and a place as long as it is not in my garage or safe.

I loved the carbine I had. It now belongs to a friend so I still have visitation rights. Some day I may pick up another one. It's amazing how well they hold their value. They sell used for marginally less they new, but it's hard to find them used because most folks have decided it's a helluva bang for the buck weapon.

Beardman, they do make them in .40s&w, I'm not sure if they are any more expensive or not, but I doubt the difference in price would exceed $20.

They seem to be a lot harder to find. The 9mm you can find on the internet all day long but the .40s seem to not come around to often.

and hey I beat a lot of people autoxing my escort that didn't laugh so much when they got their butts handed to them.
