My 1st handgun which shares safe space with my XD is a Sig CPO P226 9mm with finish wear from service duty pre-installed no charge. Shoots like a champ.. I love the thing.

I had no real idea what to expect by them, and shooting off-hand as a new shooter I figured ok, it's reasonably accurate.. Then the range owner who was sighting in the 226 for me took it in and stuck 10 rds in a group the size of a soda can at 25yds. I said "weeeeellllll allllllllrighty then!!" (only slightly embarrassed by my sheer lack of trigger time).

Sig fan ever since.. If I hadn't gotten the XD45C, I really had the hots for a P239 for carry.. DA only or regular DA/SA, I didn't really care.. though the DA only triggers are sweet in the Sigs.. Nice and simple too. Pull bang switch.. goes bang.

I'd part with the P226 though, however now my wife has taken a liking to it. uh oh!

Saw a good mag article where they took a nice Remington pump rifle and tact'd it out with tele-stock, rails and big mag. Pretty good blue-state almost-AR.
