Shipping prices on a long gun from AIM or Classic Arms?
Anyone ever bought a long gun from AIM or Classic Arms offline? How much is the shipping? I am considering getting a WASR from one of the two before the commies make them illegal, or at least double the price, and am wondering how much my grand total will come to when I pay the shipping, transfer fees, NIFS fees, vaseline fees, etc. It seems like rifles are usually in the $20-25 range for shipping, but I don't know if these companies charge in that range.

sounds about right. Plus FFL transfer fee.
You might be able to pick one up at a show for less.

You are probaby right; unfortunately the next show here in Birmingham isn't till March, an I have a sneaking apprehension that increased demand for the exact same reasons that I have decided to buy one will drive the prices up very quickly. Wish I had bought one at the show back in November, but there were no decent deals on them.
Now there's a big show in Dallas (I am originally from Texas and will be home for the Holidays) January 6 & &, but I am not sure I want to go because that would mean I have to drive 12 hours the day before Law School Re-starts.

I've bought a few rifles from AIM. I'm not sure, but I think the shipping was ~$16. I've got a C&R license; so I didn't have any dealer transfer fee.

Fyi - The Classic arms price will be about $20 -$30 more then what is listed on the website at a gunshow.
How do I know ...I bought a cetme from them at a gunshow and then about a year later I wasin the market for a handgun and I went to a local gunshow and saw the classic arms table (I had been looking at the Rock Island 1911) knowing what his prices were on his website ($289 back then)and noticed the difference (tag said $315 or $320 I dont exactly remember the exact price)and asked the guy about the prices and his response that if I had a ffl he would do the website price otherwise the price on the tag was the best he would do.
As I felt he could have done better since I was a repeat customer I found another table where a guy was only asking $305 for the same pistal so just an fyi dont expect a better price from classic arms at a gun show.

I bought 3 Mosin's (two M91/30's and an M44) from Classic about 2 months ago and my shipping was $24.00 total for the three. 2 rifles were in 1 box, the 3rd was in a box by itself, and both boxes were taped together to make 1 shipment.
