What would you choose... XDs or Sig SP2022?
Pretty simple... but I have to pick one.
Background Part 1: Recently got engaged, just booked a cruise, money is tight until after October of 2013, but I have one last chance of splurging on a new toy before the fun money goes towards the wedding...
Therefore, what should I get?
Background Part 2: I have a Glock 19 and a SW Bodyguard .380, but I do not have my CCW (Ohio). I plan on getting it within the next six months.
So I am torn, which gun to get? An XDs or a SIG SP2022?
I will most likely use this gun for range use, but eventually carry it. I'm leaning towards the XDs, but the SIG is looking pretty as well...

You have one of the worlds best compact carry guns in the G19. You have a pocket "mouse gun". If it was me, would definitely be more pleased and get more mileage out of a Sig 2022 than a XDS.

If it's strictly range use, I would go with the 2022. I had one of these and are excellent firearms, but are a little bulky. They can be carried, but the firearms you already own would be easier. If you're seriously looking at carrying it, get the xds, but I doubt that it would be a fun range gun, but I've never shot one.

I'm seriously considering it... but that XDs has been on my mind as well... If only money grew on trees.

I can vouch for the Sig Pro 2022. I recently picked one up in 9mm. It's a fantastic gun to complement my XDM compact carry weapon. You'll likely end up carrying your G19 on a regular basis. If you buy the XDS, your bodyguard becomes obsolete -you'll have just as compact a weapon with more firepower in the XDs. So in that regard I'd get the 2022 - perhaps in .40 caliber if that suits you. That way, you'll have a nicely rounded out armory.

Given your situation and current guns you already own I would go with the Sig 2022 hands down. Much more versatile, reliable, and practical for what you are going to use it for.

I've had two 2022's, first one had an aweasome trigger 2nd one not so much. Both good overall guns for the price though. Keep in mind they only com with one mag and extra ones are around 35-40 bucks.

Something else to consider..... Which one do you think "She" would be more willing to spend a day at the range with? Defend your home with??

Excellent point! Right now we are in an apartment, but I think another mid-size firearm chambered in 9mm would be a better addition to the arsenal.

Now, just to point out, I have shot the XDs and I think it is more manageable then the Bodyguard... damn this is such a tough choice.
