You got to love the little Ruger LCP. If you are unable to carry something larger, or need a backup pistol, the "Elsie Pea" will do the trick. I had a good work out with my LCP at the gun club and this video features some discussion about the LCP with shooting and functional accuracy demonstrations. Terrific little guy.

How many of you guys carry an LCP? What's your favorite range ammo and carry ammo? Mine performed flawlessly with Critical Defense, but had a few fail to extracts with Blazer brass.

Hated the LCP, like my TCP much better - last round slick lock back, better trigger too with less felt recoil and better follow up shots.

Still deciding on ammo...

Love my LCP - Is my EDC when I can't carry something larger. Mine has been 100% over last 2 years.

UPDATE: Put over 100 rounds through it this morning of Winchester White Box and ... Elsie ate it up without a single burp, hiccup or otherwise. Just chewed them all, spit the bullet one way and the empty case the other way.

And, I was amazed at how much more accurate I was with it after just one extended shooting session. I was putting every shot in a six inch reactive target from 20 yards out.

But, I tell you, between shooting over 250 rounds yesterday and another 100 today, my hand is sore. She may be small, but Elsie kicks hard!

I've shot the LCP several times (friends wife brings hers to the range alot) but I prefer my Bodygaurd. The BG has a better trigger, sights, & less muzzle snap IMO.

I carry my LCP daily. It has only had trouble eating Tula, but I knew it might. Hornady Critical Defense is my choice of ammo. They have never failed to function perfectly.
