Glock 20 or .357Sig XD/XDm?This is a discussion on Glock 20 or .357Sig XD/XDm? within the Non-XD Handguns forums, part of the Other Handgun Talk category; I'm considering a Glock 20 (10mm) or a .357 Sig (don't know the Glock #, sorry).
Any one have ballistics info and/or 10% gel tests ...

Glock 20 or .357Sig XD/XDm?
I'm considering a Glock 20 (10mm) or a .357 Sig (don't know the Glock #, sorry).
Any one have ballistics info and/or 10% gel tests for both rounds?
Can you still find 'hot' 10mm rounds? If so, what rounds are true, full power 10mm rounds?
What would you get?
If I go with the 10mm it'll be the G20 or 29 for easier concealment. If I go with .357Sig I'll get an XD or XDm, whichever offers .357Sig as a caliber. Although I'm open to a .357Sig Glock-any recommendation for CCW?
What would you get? I'd love to see gel tests for each, but my GoogleFu is not calibrated.
Any input and criticism is welcome. Thanks in advance!

Glock 20, hands down.
You can get .40 and .357 sig conversion barrels for it.
Yes, there are several manufacturers making full power 10mm loads.
Not much ballistics testing out there...mainly because none of the major ammo mfg's make 10mm loads in their premium lines.
Personally, I liked the Hornady 200gr XTP @ 1150fps when I had my 10mm's.
The .357sg GLocks are the 31, 32 & 33. Think G17, 19 and 26, respectively.

I've got a G29sf & the Hornady 200gr. XTP's like Cuda said are what I use as SD ammo. At the range I'll run anything I can find. Just bought some reloads the other day $20 per 50rds 180gr. that I'll be trying.

Have a G20sf and for defense loads I like either hornady xtp or Winchester silvertips. Range ammo is whatever I find cheap. 357 sig is a good round too. I'm thinking of going back to the 357 round though I
May just get the conversion barrel

Thanks Cuda. I'm going to go look at them today and put another $300 down on my Colt Python.

I also forgot to mention that you can also get a 9x25 Dillon conversion barrel for a G20...125gr @ 1700fps...that's hotter than most .357 mag.
Kicks the wimpy .357 Sig's ass...

Glock 20/29 is the answer to your question.
Underwood Ammo Web Site - Home 135gr.
Put a ghost rocket kit in it and leave the stock striker spring.

Never even heard of that round. Is it just a 9mm with larger brass, necked down like .357sig/5.7mm?

I'd rather completely take an XD/XDm completely down than another Glock.
Not to mention, I think the factory trigger is superb, especially for CC.

Doubletap and Buffalo Bore in 10mm. I have tried the Buffalo Bore at the range last week. Bad ass ammo.

10mm necked down to 9mm. Think .357 Sig magnum.
