p220 range report

Took the p220 to the range this morning. Pistol is very soft shooting, much less recoil than my 1911. I kept pulling my shots with the da trigger. Sa trigger was nice and light. The gun shot poa as long as I did my part. After 50rnds my groups tightened up a bit. All shots were 10-15 yds. Shot 150 total. 30 or so was on the steel plates they have set up at the range. Had about five light primer strikes, all in sa mode. The gun shop that does Sig and hk work was closed, I'll try to see them Saturday about replacing the springs, or perhaps send it to Sig for the overhaul/maintenance check. They have one package where they put night sights on it was well.

All in all good day. Still very happy with my $450 sig!

Yall have a good 4th!

Nice! I really want a P220. I'd just send it to Sig for a work over, night sights and an SRT trigger.

Got pics of the Sig?

I keep hearing good things about the srt. I couldn't believe how little recoil it has. It only felt like my 1911 with the 15 rnds of the +p rangerT I ran through it.

I love my Sig P220. It is my go-to HD/Winter Carry gun. I got it used as a police trade in for $550 and have never regretted it. You are right, they are extremely soft shooters and the SA trigger is like butter.

Get on the Sig e-mail list. They have specials periodically on spring replacements and other work. I think it was less than $150.00 for springs and nite sites on my P226.

Sigs are interesting firearms. I often tell folks, "don't shoot one unless are willing to buy one." It usually only takes a mag for folks to find they are in the market for one!

Love my 229 and 226!
