M&p 45
After milling around looking at a bunch of 1911s, I thought I had my mind made up. Then I went shooting with my buddy who has a s&w m&p 40. I fell in love w the grip and knew this was going to be my next gun. I really wanted night sights but they didn't have a model with ones installed, so I got the conventional 3dot combat contrast configuration. I love how this pistol feels in my hand and it points naturally. I put the large backstrap on it, picked up some federal ammo and a blackhawk serpa holster and called it a day. Well see how she shoots this week Attachment 52634

Congrats on the new M&P!
I've had the chance to shoot a couple, a 9mm compact & a .40 Pro. Both shot great & had an awesome in hand feel IMO.

congrats on your new XD. As far as night sights go you can have them installed. I have owned ever XD out there at one time or another and have never had any problems with any. The only XD I have never owend yet is a XDm model. I am thinking about putting a XDm in 45 on my wish list. Dave

They're alright I s'pose
Here's my 45:

I consider them basically equal to XD's with the XD winning on small details ( LCI, grip safety etc. )
I see you also opted for the thumb safety.

Yes and if they had a fde I would've gotten that. Trigger is getting a polish job by my dad, feels ok but can't say it was better than my glocks or xd/xdms either

When you get ready to do a trigger job consider Apex Tactical; mild to wild trigger kits. M&P's are awesome guns and every once in a while wish I still had my M&P 45.
