S&W J-frame cash price?

I'm an avid golfer, and my irons were stolen out of my truck. I'm not really in the situation to spend $500+ for new set, so figured I'd sell the most not used gun in my safe. Ever since I bought my PM9 my 442 is all but useless. Would $250 cash be unreasonable for a 442 in nice shape, low rounds through it?

No, not unreasonable, ~$300 new, add the Smith tax, at $250 it should be gone quickly.

That's a steal actually... will go fast at that price, I'd honestly ask more.

That will be gone before your ad is an hour old. A quick advanced search on Gunbroker for completed auctions showed $250 as an extreme low, $470 as a high, and a ton of action around $325.

Do a little Google search, not being nasty, but depending how it's loaded could be more pricey. Just curious, did a search and they are ranging from 325 to almost 400.

Ah I never added...I was hoping for quick cash since I have a tourney this week and wanted to trade it in...so I was wondering if it'd be possible to get 250 from my LGS.

$250 sounds reasonable.
As far as the LGS giving you that it will probably depend on your relationship you have w/them. My experience w/most LGS's is they always try to low ball you big time.
Good luck.

Say I try to sell it on here. Could I just do it through paypal and than have my FFL ship to theirs? Is there a hold on the cash until the item is received?

Paypal frowns on gun purchases and can hold the money if they suspect it was used to purchase a firearm. It can be done discreetly, but you still run a risk. My out of state purchases have all been done with a USPS money order.

My LGS accepts from non FFL holders so you could ship it yourself. Some LGS only accept from FFL holders.

I'm interested at $250 BTW
