Round stuck in G23 Help

I took a buddy of mine shooting as he was shooting my G23 .40cal that has a 9mm lonewolf conversion barrel to shoot and chamber both calibers. He flagged me down to check the firearm as it stopped firing. long story short he had a 9mm round jammed in the barrel and for the life of me I can't get it out.

He's not sure if the round fired so I could be dealing with a live round so every cation has been taken. Here are four photos to help determine if its still a live round & if someone can help me get the chambered round out.

Im gonna take a wild guess and say it was Winchester white box?

I had a similar situation with my XDm. The round was out of spec and was stuck in the chamber. I did this.Round stuck in G23 Help-imageuploadedbytapatalk1339620036.353897.jpg

Obviously this is a recreation. You need a safe place to do this. You need to catch the slide just above the barrel and give it a good solid push. Obviously you have to push the grip safety but do not put your finger on the trigger. It worried for me. It appears that your extractor still has a grip on the round. Good luck and be safe.

Put a think towel over a table before doing that or do it on a soft but firm surface to avoid marring the side or slipping on to the front sight.

Thanks worked great! I was able to get the barrel out of the slide but the round is still inside the barrel. I tried using needle noise players to pull the round out but its in there very tight. I have it soaking in some oil hopefully that can loosen the casing enough to pull it out.

Where you shooting reloads?

Now that the barrel is out of the gun you can use wooden dowel from the muzzle end to remove it.

the Lone wolf barrels are known to be a little tight.

White box 9mm

I got it out with a handy rubber mallet & a cleaning rod from my M-Pro 7 tactical kit. Thank for all the help!
Ps it appears the shell casing had been struck several times by the firing pin.
