The thing that will amaze you is how controllable it is for a light and small 45.
The first time I shot one, I was amazed at how easy it was to hit with compared to the "Officer's" sized 1911s.

That is what I was going to say, looks to be real close in size and weight. I think the G19 is one of the best for CCW - trade 15+1 rounds of 9mm for 6+1 rounds of .45?

I just went from no Glocks to a G19 and a G34. Now eyeing the G26.

What I meant is that it's thinner gun. I just worded it wrong.
I used to own a G26, but it was not enjoyable to shoot. My hand would start to cramp pretty much immediately.

Thats funny I said the exact same thing. That is the only Glock I would ever own. While waiting for the XDS to come out, I stumbled across one for $400 so I jumped on it.

Well, I got my CHL about 10-14 days ago. So far my favorite carry pieces are my XD9 sc, EMP (prints a tiny bit) and XDS depending on what I'm wearing and what I'm doing.
I like shooting the Glock, but don't enjoy carrying it. It's uncomfortable and prints too much. It's a fine firearm, just not a great carry piece for me and my body type. I still like it and don't plan on getting rid of it.
I can carry it if I wear a button up, but by then I'm carrying my EMP, XDm compact 9mm or sometimes the G36. I've only had my license for a short time, so I'm still trying to figure out little tricks for better concealment.
For some reason I had 'the more cant the better' stuck in my head, which isn't true. Some pistols print more with more cant. Like my EMP; it doesn't need a bunch of cant to conceal. Quite the contrary, actually. The less cant the better with that piece. I need to try the G36 with less angle.

Congrats on CCP! I'm suprised the G36 prints so much, I'm still thinking on picking one up sometime in the future but I'm happy as can be w/my XDS right now.

Don't be ashamed to say you like it.
And don't fight the urge to buy another.
I will own a G23 sometime in the future.
Congrats!

Actually, the G36 is slightly thinner than a G19 (1.13" vs 1.18"), but nearly the same in all other dimensions.
And I do agree that they are awfully nice...I got rid of my 36 when I started carrying 1911's.

All told, I really like the gun. It's very concealable. Really, this is the only Glock I'd ever consider owning and I'm very happy with my purchase.
It's much smaller than any other Glock, including the G26 I owned in the past. I just bought it last night, so I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet- I bought it on the way home from a 4 hour range session (took my Mother shooting for the first time-very proud of her!)
I'll make sure to give a range report when I shoot it, possibly tomorrow.
Just a guess, but I'd say it's ~25% larger than my Sister's Shield. It really is the most ergonomic Glock I've held. Can't wait to shoot it.
I have a Crossbreed ordered and on their list to make.
I also have an S&W M&P360 on the way. I'll do a range report on both.

Have you shot it yet? I had one, didn't shoot it first, and didn't like the dynamics of it. Could be due to having a Kimber UC II at the same time. In addition, my G36 was a lemon, a FTF and FTE monster. Not the norm I'm sure but I was not happy at all with mine. I hope it works out for you
