What small, reliable, pocket carry 9mm to buy
Well so far, from what I have read and saw, I am thinking either kel-tec or Kahr.
Here is the background. I am going to have my PPS, and a magazine, sent to Robar for an NP3+ plating. This is estimated to take roughly 90 days. In the meantime I don't want to not carry anything. So, the cheapest alternative is the best one for me at this point since this is really just a temp buy. I don't have holsters or aspirations to carry my larger handguns.
So I am looking for a cheap (since this gun will only be carried while the PPS is away), obviously reliable, 9mm, pocket gun. I think I about summed up what is there (if you have input between the two, please add!) for my needs.
I would love to hear other choices (I am open to .380 but don't prefer it due to ammo....however, the GF will be carrying soon so a decent .380 could work between the two of us but I don't want to shell out the $600+ sum odd dollars for a Sig p series....although I do like them, she did not).

I also have a Remora Clip-less holster, they are not specific to one gun, so I could look for a similar sized pistol to the PPS (there are many now) but it would be an added bonus if I get something she could carry later.
Other guns that fit the Remora Holster for the PPS size are:
Taurus PT-145
XD SC
H&K P2000SK
CZ RAMI-2075
PX4 Storm SubCompact
Although honestly, I prefer to just have a smaller carry gun in the interim. Really none of the above appeal to me and will not be something that she could carry later on.

Cheap, slim, 9mm.... I honestly can't think of any gun OTHER than the pf-9.
There is the Taurus 709 but I really can't in good faith recommend paying $100 more for a Taurus.
SCCY makes a cheap one with decent reviews called the CPX (get the CPX-2 since it doesn't have the annoying useless thumb safety). I don't think it will be as nice as the pf-9 though.

Ya...I notice the PF-9 being a decent pistol all around. Fairly priced as well. I am open to other options but I have sent her a link to the PF-9. Unfortunately, I know our range does not have one to shoot. I still might go with her so she can hold one though (they do sell them).

I have had 3 Kel-Tec`s for quite a few years now, all 3 have been flawless with over 500 rounds in each of them, the PF9 has over 1k through it
I almost bought a Kahr several times but their warranty turned me away every time, Im sure they are great guns, there are plenty that have them and like them
My favorite small 9mm for carry is the PF9, when I carry it, I forget I have it on me because it is so flat and light, if ya want to go a little bigger, the P-11 will work too, either of them can be had for 300 bucks or less
Keep in mind pocket pistols are snappy, but for up close and personal defence, they do the job
.380 Suggestions?
The Kel-Tec P3AT is a great little pocket .380, you will be hard pressed to find one lighter and smaller than it, my wife carry`s one every time she leaves the house

Kahr CM9.
While not the cheapest gun in the world it is a quality choice at a decent price.

Kahr's are great add the PM9 (Tolson has some blems for sale here, only cosmetic) and if you have the cash the MK9. Love my Kahr 9mm. Just follow the break-in procedure and you'll have a great gun for a long time!!

Picked up a Ruger LCP, to replace my P3AT over a year ago, and it has been my goto gun ever since as my EDC. I will also give a plug for the PF-9, had a couple of them, one since they first came out, with no issues.

There are a few good choices out there as mentioned. As of right now I carry a LCP all the time. I am thinking about upgrading to the LC9. I have had a few Kel-Tec's and they were fine guns as well. I cant say much about Kahr's as I have never shot one but there are alot of people saying they are good as well. As far the Taurus PT 709 goes, Again I have never shot one and I will never bash Taurus as I have owned alot of them over the years with no problems at all, but from what I have read at taurusarmed.net there seems to be a share of them having to be sent back and be fixed. I dont know if that was just out of a certain batch or just random.
