Glock 17 sight replacements? Recommendation needed

Hi All. I have a Glock 17 purchased in 1993, so first generation. Gun is completely stock and shoots fine. I want to change the rear and front sights. I've never been a fan of the std glock sights. Can you provide me some options for replacement? I'm looking for a 3 dot type system. It doesn't have to be night sights, but something of decent quality. Is $100
a good range to stay within?

Thanks
JP

I went with TruGlo TFOs and couldn't be more pleased.

if you want the 3-dot picture - Truglo TFO's have got a great reputation.

For a little different sight picture, these are also getting good reviews (but not that many of them around yet):

Another vote for TFOs. I got mine for 90 installed locally. Excellent sight picture and super bright!

Meprolight, Ameriglo, or Trijicon.

I don't care for TFOs.

I don't like the physical size of the sights on the slide.

Nor do I like the gap that may occur between the slide and rear sight.

Nor do I like the reports of tube failure.

My own personal issues..

I put Ameriglo I-dots on my G19..
But it is a 2 dot system, I found them easier to line up than 3 dot..

AmeriGlo Weapon Sights | I-DOT

Ameriglo has many options for Glocks..

AmeriGlo Weapon Sights | Complete Sets

Had an Ameriglo black rear with the same type of front sight as the Glock put on my Sig P239.

I had James at www.xd-hs2000.com install them for me.

Good luck...

Check out your options @ Lonewolf Distributors. I like Ameriglos. They use Trijicon tubes.

I really like my Warren Tactical sights I have and they don't break the bank.
