Sig P250
I'm considering buying one of these for the versatility as a kick around gun and to have a few different frames for.....saw positive reviews on it for the most part. I know the trigger will be a far stretch from the XD and glocks that I own, but still it seemed prett smooth, with a good break.
Anything you guy's that own one want to pass on? Good and bad?
I understand holsters and accessories are limited but I can bend kydex, so that's not too much of an issue.

DONT BUY IT! Shoots VERY low! I had one and after a few months of ownership, I couldnt get rid of it fast enough. Check out the p250 forums MANY threads of it shooting very low.( im talking ALOT of P250 owners having this issue) For example, at 10 - 15 yards it was about 6 inches low. I went as far as having Sig replace sights TWICE.( well they shipped ME the sights to have replaced at my own cost.. great customer sevice huh? lol) And with each new set of sights, it helped.. "SOME". After the 2 sights, it was about 2-3 inches low still. Based on my own personal experiences with this weapon, I have to HIGHLY not recommend it, which is a shame, because I love Sig.
The guy that bought it from me, at first was like "you must be jerking, etc the weapon, It will be fine for me".. WELL. Turns out after a few months of owning it, he as well has sold it, for the exact same reasons. What is ironic is selling the P250 and using that cash from the sale, was actually how I bought my XDM that I have been lusting after since I bought my XD service. I am not sure if linking to another hand gun site is allowed by the site rules, so I wont give a link. BUT if we are, there is a few posts from there that you should read, again ALL about the P250, and un happy owners.
EDIT: here are a few copy/pastes to show what I mean.

I know this has been hashed out quite a bit but there were some questions in another thread that I may have got at least partial (if not fully satisfactory) answers from a CS guy named Andy at Sig. First the "problem" is that my .357 Sig SC is shooting about 4 inches low at 7 yards. That is with a combat hold (sight picture). I know this is a common complaint (I'm not) with people switching to a DAO, especially with such a long stroke as this gun and coming from a platform such as a Glock. In my case I'm used to DAO shooting 3 dinky little Kahrs so that shouldn't be an issue

My full sized P250 40 caliber is shooting low as well. I have had a retired marine, on duty officer, and a firearms instructor fire it. All said the same. Its low by a about 5-7 inches at 7-15 yards. So I called Sig, explained to them. Even though they said the # front sight on my psitols is what my gun's build is "supposed" to have, they would send me a a new/higher POI numbered front sight to raise my shots.
I'll be having the replacement sight put on later today afer it gets here at my friends gun shop, and then taking it to the range tomorrow night with friends for our usual weekend range trips. I'll post my results that night, or the next day in this thread. This is my first Sig, but IF the shots raise, I will be very happy with this gun overall.
EDIT: Seems after the new sights, it is STILL shooting low, and the new sights only helped marginaly at best. Gonna call Sig and see what can be done at this point.
EDIT# 2 Well, Sig is wanting to replace the sights yet again. I will post back the results.
EDIT #3 shooting low again, slightly higher, but not by much. I will be calling Sig.. AGAIN.
EDIT# 4 Replaced the sights AGAIN, and it is STILL shooting low, this is beyond ridiculous! Why ater having the sights changed out THREE times, it is STILL low by a few inches. This gun may be looking for anew home VERY, VERY soon.

My P250c (9mm) is far more accurate than it probably should be. The trigger is as you described - smooth, with a very crisp break. If you don't mind a full double-action pull, it's really a great pistol. My guess with the folks that are shooting low is that they are jerking the pistol as they're pulling the trigger. With the four P250s I've shot, I've had the exact same results, which are sub-2" groups at 10yd.
Summary: Great pistol at a great price - if you like true DAO triggers.

It will have a smoother trigger than the Glocks and XDs you own.
On a side note, I'll take a Glock trigger over an XD trigger any day.
But I only had my P250 a month and I sold it.
Nice trigger, but I prefer my DAK traditional alloy framed P series Sigs.
You need to shoot one before you buy one.
The conversion kits are not cheap either..
They can also be hard to find.
The P250 did not live up to the awesomeness Sig projected.
I paid $650 for my 9mm P250 soon after they came out, sold it for $600.
You can now buy them for what, $400?
BlockDaddy21 is correct, if you like a true DAO trigger, you may like the P250.

I have mine and its a nice pistol. Would prefer to put a longer slide on it than my compact has. The trigger pull is exceptionally long but VERY predictable and as proven last night at the range, mine will hold a sub 1" group at 7-10 yards easily. Just gotta do my part. If you can pick it up for less than $425-430 after tax, you're on par. More than that would make me wary.

I have the subcompact 9mm and it shoots just fine. The da trigger takes getting used to. I have put a few thousand rounds through it an never had a ftf or any other cycle issue. In terms of a higher capacity subcompact 9mm there are a handful of choices.

I own the p250 in every caliber. I bought the compact 9 and then the subcompact conversion kit. Then got compact conversion kits in .45 and. 40 with a .357 barrel. Used it as my off duty for a while. Great gun. Long trigger pull but got used to it. Its a great shooter

I just ordered my SIG P250 FullSize 9mm a week ago. $385 OTD w/SigSights. I've look around on a lot of forums videos ect. I haven't heard anything about them firing low like the 2nd poster said.
I'll have to wait and see when i get mine to make my own opinion up. My brother also picked up the P250 Compact after I ordered mine luckily for him his was actually in stock at our local dealer so he has his already and he hasn't had a single issue either and has put about 500rd's through it.

I had the P250 but could never get used to it with the grip and it shot low. Trigger is nice but way to much pre-travel for me. I traded mine for a S&W M&P and put the Apex Tactical Trigger upgrade in it. The Sheriff's Dept. here carries the M&P series and all of them want me to do a trigger job on their pistols LOL they love the trigger from Apex smooth and mine does break about 4 lbs and hardly any pre-travel and reset is awesome.
