Never shot the Sig, but I have shot the Colt version. It was very nice, felt good in hand, shot well/accurate. No problems out of the 5 mags of CCI I ran through a friends.

The Sig is a GSG-1911 with "Sig" stamped on the side.
The GSG's have been doing very well with apparently few issues.

Be aware that the Browning is actually 80% scaled-down size not full-size 1911, see comparison pictures here:
The Firearm Blog » Browning 1911-22 .22 Pistol

I have the GSG-1911 .22, it runs fine:
I use it for rimfire competitions. There were previous versions that had a problem with the barrel-bushing, there is now an new version of barrel-bushing (this happened a few years ago). The Set-screw that holds the barrel to the frame can sometimes work-loose, keep it tight with Thread-Locker.
Hollow-points can sometimes get stuck when feeding. Federal Bulk-paks are ok when practicing, but for competition I use CCI mini-mags (round-nose, no HP) to ensure no jams.
If you want to know more, I have several videos on the GSG-1911:
GSG-1911 - Playlist
Also several videos on "nictaylor00" Channel, he has lots of good videos on there about tinkering/improving with the GSG-1911

If you go into the purchase of the GSG 1911 knowing that it has difficulties, some you can fix, others you can't, it's a cheap 1911 platform. My worry long term is the longevity of the slide. A number of people report major slide failures. It's the nature of the cheap metal used.

The finish will come off. Not a big deal to me.
The sights didn't work for me. You set elevation by choosing one of three front sights, and none of them worked for what I wanted. I ended up installing an adjustable rear sight and using the middle height front sight. I also replaced the thumb safety.

I looked at a Browning for about 1/2 second, the cost and the "toy" feeling were a deal breaker.

I use it as a warm up when I am shooting a 1911. When I am shooting something else, I warm up with a Ruger Mark III.

I'd stick with GSG 1911. Save money without the Sig name on the side and as long as you shoot 40gr 22s you won't have any problems. Local shop currently sells 525 pack of 40gr CCI blazer for 15.99.. Lots of good shooting

I have a Gsg 1911......Wow what a nice looking and shooting gun. They had a few problems early on, but they worked things out. I hear service is good at ATI also. I haven't needed any help yet.
