My Custom M&P Shield
Well I like this shield and I was wrong that the skinny grip would focus recoil. I made a couple mods today and made her my own. She now looks like a proper stainless slide, I installed some Truglo TFO`s on her and got rid of the stupid "will fire without magazine" warning on the slide. I ordered a Apex Trigger kit so the trigger will be even better by the weekend.
I Blasted the slide first then glass beaded it for a nice satin finish. The TFO sights are the regular TFO sights for the full size M&Ps. Since the Shield uses the same dovetail as its bigger brothers aftermarket sights are already available. The TFO is slightly wider than the slide so you have a slight overhang say 4/64ths of an inch not even noticeable. Impact did not seem to change and I have a combat sight picture which I prefer.
What do you think? I can make yours look good too.

Great work! I see a S&W rep seeing this.. and passing the "idea" off as his own and getting a huge royalty check lol. This SHOULD have been offered from the start, and I am NOT a stainless slide fan.. at all. This looks great.

Some people argue against a 9mm. Oddly enough, I haven't found a single person so far who is SO unimpressed with the stopping power of a 9mm, that he is willing to stand downrange and catch one fired out of my XDM.

You know I looked and they don't offer a stainless looking version as a factory option. That s weird since all The M&P slides are stainless steel, then melonited as well. The blueing is an extra step. I guess I am not an operator thats why I wanted a classier look. Since I re-finish guns I could have gone cammo I guess. Anyone want an ODGreen one I will do the first one for half off.
