How can you claim to be fair minded and objective, if you've never even tried a Glock? Why not try one before you decide if you like it or not.

Because unlike the Glock zombies I'll shoot just about any other brand. So I'm limiting myself to dozens of brands and the Kool-Aid drinkers are limiting themselves to one brand.

Glocks are excellent. I have 2 of them and now a tactical XD. I am not a brand loyalist. There is just too many really good guns available to choose from

Kind of like the $3000 vs $400 1911 arguments on the 1911 forums....

I like to have the variety also, but my sig 1911 scorpion is my favorite handgun.
The wife got it for me. Only gun she's ever had interest in. For now. Www.Urbanoutfitters.com. is it odd that I don't put my finger in the trigger well while taking a sip?
Ill have to persue a range officer. I want a decent 1911 to start without of the box which Springfield offers and upgrade it here and there. Ill try renting one Sunday.

its probably out of habit that you don't put your finger on a trigger and point towards your head

So true!!! One of the funnest 1911s I ever shot was the Rock Island GI. A 450 dollar 1911!!!

For me, the Glock has the absolute worst ergo's of any firearm I've ever shot. And I've shot my share of Glocks before I get slammed here!! Gen 1,2,97,143....

I compare it to trying to put the block through the round hole........ just doesn't fit

I don't feel like I was clear enough because people keep accusing me of being unfair for not trying a Glock first. I am admitting that I'm being unfair. I'm being unfair because they're unfair and I am apparently no better than a 4 year old. I have no desire to shoot one because I don't feel like they're anything special. There are lots of guns I have no desire to shoot and that's one.

I said numerous times that people wouldn't love them unless they were good guns. I'm sure they're good, but still nothing special.

OP.. Im with you on the glock snobbery, thats half the reason why I wont ever own one! The other half is, to me there uncomfortable as hell to shoot and there just plain UGLY!

See, that's why I divorced my ex-wife, she never would have been cool enough to buy me that. However, I showed my girlfriend and she liked it. It absolutely is not weird that you don't put your finger on the trigger and I won't either when mine arrives - just ordered! Tell your wife she has good taste.

I want to get another 1911, but the thought of asking on a forum for help determining which to get terrifies me almost as much as Obama getting re-elected. Have fun and stay safe on Sunday.
