Ruger Customer Service
Although I began my handgun experience with the XD, I have since branched out into many others. I picked up a Ruger LCP for my outdoor running. I was replacing a pin in the frame while trying to retrofit a Keltec frame clip, and I cracked the polymer frame in the backstrap area
When I couldn't find a phone number for Ruger, I just sent the gun in to them following their directions on the website. I included a note being honest about what happened, and with my info. I expected a phone call with an estimate and a request for my credit card number within a few weeks or so.
Instead, three weeks later, UPS knocked on my door with a completely repaired and tested LCP. No sign of a crack, they must have replaced the whole polymer piece. I checked for an invoice, and there was a note saying they repaired it as a one time courtesy! Wow!
So I just thought I'd drop by and post a thanks to Ruger for their great product and service.

Ruger customer service has been great in my experience, BUT, IMO they have made cuts in quality control, pretty much leaving it up to the customer. I'm sure it's necessary for them to be able to offer their arms at a competitive price. Still, it can be frustrating.
I have had 2 new SP101's that had to go back for repair. One for an improperly indexed barrel, and another for late initial timing. I guess they're banking that most customers won't notice or care. BUT, they did make the repairs each time, paid shipping both ways, and, because they took a long time and left a cosmetic scar on the cylinder of the first one (which they then replaced) they threw in a free pair of Crimson Trace grips.

That's great....I have lots of Rugers and love them. I've never needed Ruger's customer service, but my pals over at Rugerforum.net are always praising the response they get from Ruger.

Glad to hear they took care of you, most of their new guns don't come with a warranty, just a promise that they will take care of you -- looks like they are living up to that.
Ruger has been awesome and has earned my business -- ever since bill passed its been a lot better company.
I sent an email to the CEO (there is a page on their website that lets you write a note to the CEO with the promise he will read it, but not respond).
I got a nice little gift package, from the CEO supposedly, for my input.... now that is great customer relations!
I started off with the LCP then purchased a SR9C & SR22 -- in the future I see a SR-1911 and the SR-556

A few years back I had to send a firearm back to them for an issue that I had..They were outstanding,a lot of company's could learn from them..

I sent a new Single Six back recently due to poor accuracy. I just talked to them and pending final approval from the supervisor they are going to replace the whole gun.

i screwed up the finish on my redhawk last summer. i don't want to get into details on how it happened but, i sent the gun in to be re blued. i expected 1-2 monthe turnaround time, but they had my gun back to me within two weeks. it looks brand new.

I purchased several Rugers that had issues over the years, but Ruger always took care of everything. Their quality control isn't the best, but their customer service is top notch.
