I would not let the parts issue keep anyone from buying the Caracal. It appears to be a quality gun and the chances are quite good you won't need extra parts. They will probably have parts around when you wind up actually needing them.

I bought my early XD-40 Service, knowing the parts were not easily found. Shot it like mad and never needed extra parts.

10-15 years ago, i'm pretty sure Glock was selling for $400 or less then too.

I paid $395 for my Caracal F, so $100 less than a Glock.

People are now paying $100 more for a XDm than for a Glock 17.

Oh I still want a Caracal - some day.

I just made the bad mistake of handling the Walther PPQ last time I was in a gun store. That thing feels great in the hand and has the best trigger of any polymer striker pistol.

Someday...I'll probably have both and am seriously re-thinking my plan to just go buy another Glock (19).

I too want to try out a PPQ, seems like a really nice gun and prices are very competitive for a all German made gun.

I swear, I could not tell much difference in the PPQ and the much more expensive HK P-30. HK's customer service is almost nonexistent and the mags are twice as expensive as those for the PPQ.

With the PPQ, it was as if someone threw all the polymer striker pistols out on a table and cherry-picked the best features and put them in one gun. No Glock I have ever shot had a trigger like that....even the two I own with their tweaked Ghost triggers.

About time! Every one of these striker pistols has one or more glaring problems or warts. I really did not see one with the PPQ.

The web reviews on the PPQ are all positive, too.

Seriously, with the QC issues that Glock and the M&P have had recently...i don't think I'll miss not getting another Glock or an M&P.

As an owner of 2 Caracals, I too want the support/supply chain of parts to come on-line. BUT, the pistol has already been proven in Europe. It has been in the field, I believe, since 2007. Has passed NATO and German Military testing.

Here is my Caracal 'C' and my PPQ.

My PPQ in 9mm has been flawless through a little over 1000 rounds. ZERO issues. The trigger is OUTSTANDING.

The Caracal trigger is ALMOST as good. I shot these 2 pistols back to back with the same ammo with as little time between as I could do it. The Caracal has much less muzzle flip. Easier to shoot faster and more accurate follow up shots.

I've only been shooting IDPA for 7 months. I shot 3 matches with the PPQ. And 1 match, this Feb. with the Caracal, and in that type of shooting, the Caracal really shined for the quick shooting stages.

I can't blame anyone for being seduced by the PPQ. It's one fine pistol IMO.

I had just decided to try a M&P or FNX/FNS out and you had to go and post the picture of the C.

Thanks, that's certainly acceptable to me.
