Welcome to the pf9 club. I carry mine pretty much from morning till night 7 days a week. It's a pleasure to carry. I just bought a .22 conversion kit and it is a hoot to shoot. Went through 200 rounds this afternoon. Really accurate for a conversion kit. Got 2" groups at 7yds easy.

UPDATE: Started having FTE issues, did a little research online and found I was not the only one. Figures after I had my success with my P11!

I contacted Kel-tec and they are sending me an "extractor kit", as my research online this is the first solution offered before sending the slide and barrel in. The guy @ Kel-tec verified this and was very kind and I am sure all will be handled. Timeframe being my only concern, but they are doing their part as a company should.

That said not giving them a bad review, nor I have I lost faith in my PF9, it's a cheap gun and I know someone with a Kahr P380 whom spent double+ experiencing jams right now after recommended "break-in". The good with the bad, now I just have to work through the bad and assure myself I am comfortable carrying it daily.

With such a small and light gun many times the FTE can be limpwristing. Now before you get all huffy and puffy thinking that I've insulted your manhood, I'm not. It's just that small heavy recoiling Semi Autos are prone to this and a grip that would be OK for the P11 might need to be firmed up a bit for the pf9.

Appreciate the feedback, after my first trip I looked into it and too discovered that from online research. I therefore waited until my next trip to pursue anything, I focused more on my handling, and even had two others familiar with handguns shoot it to verify I was being a complete pansy ! Every magazine we'd encounter at least 1 FTE. After that trip I had also disassembled and browsed the "fluff&buff" article looking for something that may have been overlooked by Kel-tec. Found nothing unusual through my visual and the hex for the extractor was tight as can be.

Sounds as if they have excellent CS. The alligator print on the grip also jazzes me.

One other thing you might look into. Does it happen with both mags?

While at the range cycle through a mag by pulling the slide back then forward. (with muzzle pointed in a safe direction) Make sure the next bullet being fed into the chamber isn't bumping the one being ejected. If it does check the mag lips to make sure the bullet isn't being presenting too high.

Sadly I have one mag, I have fed 7 rounds after 7 rounds through it manually, just with the slide to eliminate and it ejects them far as-is much less a casing. Though another mag has not been tested, the guy @ Kel-tec also did no suggest nor even mention such so I didn't worry myself. Also going to attempt a couple other kinds of ammo this weekend, just to be sure that isn't the issue.

What ammo were you shooting? I hear some PF9s don't like 147gr.

115gr Wal-Mart $20/100rounds Federal, I have some Hornady FPD 147gr I was running in my XD and even fed into the PF9 I had a hard time racking them out.

Actually picked up some 115gr Speer Gold-Dot's now for carrying. This was a couple days ago, plan to run a couple through it as well to develop a feel.
