Yep, I agree. I'd be interested in trying it out.

Any reason the safety has to be upside down on the .22 pistols (P22 and SR-22)? Just because they are hammer fired?

Yes because it works as a decocker as well. Here is what Ruger had to say about it:

"It is not backwards. Because it functions as both a safety and a decocker [lever], you have to push down to allow the sear to drop away from the hammer to bring the pistol back into a resting position. If you look at other similar pistols in the marketplace you will see that they all function this way. A few implement a 3 position safety where up is safe, down is fire, down AGAIN is decock – but we feel that is a poor design as its too easy to do an unintended action."

Just got the replacement mag back for the sr22. Great service - they also included a free hat for my trouble / cost of shipping them the defective one!

Hoping to get some more rounds through it soon including some of the bulk 550 Federal from Walmart for less than $20.

A headshot with a .22 is just as effective as a dome shot with a .45

The ruger sr22 is a cool gun might get my fiancé one!

That's what I figured. Thanks!

He is correct sir. .22lr is only as effective as a .45 if it is a headshot

Just bought one of the sr22s two days ago. I have 550 rounds of federal and winchester bulk packs through it and so far only two fail-to-feeds. I think thats pretty good for any semi auto .22 shooting bulk ammo. I really like it so far, it plenty accurate for me. I plan on shooting the heck out of it so more updates will follow.

The trigger stinks!

Anyone know of a trigger mod for the SR22? Compared to my Mark III, this gun is not impressive at all, other than its size.

Although the trigger is better than on the Walther, it's horrible. Long, gritty, heavy. Even on one with over 1,000 rounds through it, it's better than when new but a big disappointment from what it could have been.

This little guy with the trigger of a Mark I/II/II or 22/45 in this small package would absolutely rule the .22lr market.
