M&Pc 9mm vs my XD9sc...
Went to the range today with 350 rounds and thought I'd try a gun I haven't shot before so I went with an M&Pc 9mm. Wow, I am impressed, fantastic trigger, great ergonomics, slightly smaller and lighter than the XD I think.
Anyone have experience with them? Is it worth it to replace say my XD9sc with it? Not so sure about that but damn, it was a nice shooter.

I plan on getting one some day, perhaps in a 40.
I don't think the minor differences are worth swapping a gun you already have, my $0.02.

IMO the M&P is more on par with the XDm. I think it beats an XD only because of better ergos.
all IMO of course.

I've got three. 9c, 40c, and 45 FS. Love them all. Didn't "unload" the XD, just added to the collection

I have both of these guns and greatly prefer my XD9SC. The XD9SC has a higher round capacity and far better ergonomics (YMMV). As far as size/weight they are roughly the same, obviously slight differences but I don't see either of them having the "upper hand". They are essentially the same size but yet my XD9SC holds more rounds and if I use my fullsize magazine it holds FAR more rounds!!
It's definitely not an upgrade. They are pretty equal - just a matter of preference, my friend. I think you got the itch and need to just bite on another gun purchase.

The M&P C won't take the full size M&P mags?

IMO the M&P is far superior. I owned a XD9SC for about 2 months. I've owned my M&P9c for over 2 years and I don't plan on ever getting rid of it. With Apex triggers, M&P's have the best trigger of any striker fired gun. The M&P is A LOT easier to work on, has less felt recoil IMO, and it's made in the U.S.!

From what I saw, I can't say it's far superior or even superior...it's on par for me. I will say its trigger was superior, probably the best of strider fired I've felt as well. Ergo's are different for everyone. It is close for me, maybe a bit easier to shoot with the M&P due to the lower bore axis but even that is subjective.

I like my M&P 9c. It would be better with a trigger job, I'm sure. I shoot the XD9c just a bit better, though.
