If you had $500 what gun would you buy?
So I've got 500 bucks and am ichin for a new gun. I realy just want to add to the collection. I don't own a shot gun, so thats an option. I'll wait till later this year for the 1911, but nothing is out of the question.
What are your personal opinions?

well... I just got my XD .40 for 499.00 out the door, or i have a maverick 12 gage (mossberg 500) that was about 300. Maverick is a part of mossberg, cheaper, but many interchangeable parts. I have the model 88, short, pistol grip but with the shoulder stock still, heat shield. I like it a lot, shoot clay targets with it and can't seem to miss... lol. Probably the 18 inch barrel and a shot pattern about 5 feet wide.

xdmc of course, but $500 could buy a decent tactical shotgun, build your own ar, ak with $ left over for ammo. $500 isnt goin to buy a decent 1911. i already have a decent ar and xdm so i would buy either a sig 522 or the new gsg 1911 22. you can never have too many range toys!

I looked at the J.I.C., but as I sstarted to look at mossburgs site I started to see alot that i like (and as far as self deffence goes whats better,, pump or semi auto?). I was also eyeballin a xd sc 9, but i'm not sure the coast.

I'd have to suggest either a good h.d. shotgun or maybe an AK. That will also leave some $$ for ammo.

No shotgun eh? If I were you, I'd get a Mossberg 500, they you would have money left over for shells.
If I had 500 right now then a well made .357 lever action.

My newest purchase was an XDM .40 compact. Cost more than $500.00 especially with the night sights but if I were to purchase another gun with about $500.00 it would be a Glock 26 or 27.
