Very nice! The engraving would be a sweet touch. Why not go ahead add your career dates as a momento/ keep sake? Like enlistment one side then retired date(when you retire of course) on the other side. Just a thought...

I also lost all my guns in a terrible Boating accident. There seems to be alot of accidents these days.

The original Navy P226 chose for the Navy SEAL Teams had phosphate coating on its internals to keep them from rusting due to the environment...along with the anchor. I think they made a number of exact replica's as the SEAL version but the Navy version's now are the same as any other P226 except it has the anchor.

Yeah, I will probably put the dates of my 20 years and of course, my wings of gold on the gun.
