single stack, poly frame, 9mm, small, XD-like trigger...does it exist?
Looking for an easily concealed, easily carried handgun, at least 9 mm, and no bigger than about the size of a Taurus Slim or Kahr PM9, BUT with a decent, non-DA/SA, non-DAO trigger. I'm not aware of such a gun, so help me find it.
- I know I can get a single stack with a nice XD-like trigger, but it won't be small
- I can get a small single-stack, but it'll have a mile-long DAO or DA/SA trigger pull.
- I can get a small frame with an XD-like trigger, but it won't be single-stack.
So...is there a gun I'm not aware of, that gives me all of the following:
Single stack, 9mm or bigger, poly frame
Size about like a Taurus Slim or Kahr PM9
Nice, non-DA trigger like an XD or Glock
Preferably a grip safety.
If not...somebody, please, make one, I'll buy two.

How about????????????????????
A Kahr PM9..
Doesn't that cover your criteria?
non-DA/SA, non-DAO trigger???
What exactly are you looking for??
The PM9 has a better trigger than the sloppy XD trigger..

I am going to assume the new Sig 9MM would be what your looking for. Never seen one in person but they are Sig's. Can't go wrong. That's just an option I have never touched one. Also something similar probably a bitch of a trigger is the new Ruger LC9.

Walther PPS
Been carrying one since they came out
It's everything you want and with a better trigger than the Kahr by far
Also has interchangeable backstraps
One of the most natural pointing pistols for me that I've ever had
Just a hair big on your size request though

What he said...
The Walther PPS is pretty much the only pistol that fits your requirements, trigger-wise.

Trigger is very Glock/XD-like as it is also striker fired.
Relatively short light trigger, mebbe 6 lbs, very consistent.
Not a tuned single action trigger, but miles ahead of a DAO or DA/SA

thats what I meant by different. Is it miles ahead? I don't think so. It's all up to the end user, or perhaps even down to the purpose. I like my XD triggers, especially the aftermarket job on my service. But I love the Kahr trigger too. Mostly because I find myself not flinching/anticipating recoil as much with it. The trigger has no stop before letting go. Just one consistent pull until it fires. Without the feel of the "stop" before the pin drops I find it easier to forget about anticipating the shot. It reminds me of the different between single and two-stage AR triggers. Same gun, two kinds of triggers, and many differing opinions on which is best. Just my .02

To each his own.
Feeling that "stop" also allows you to feel the reset and use a shorter trigger stroke, I can run the gun faster, by alot, with a striker fired gun vs a DAO, faster yet with a tuned single action
If you are flinching, I respectfully submit that is a training issue, not a trigger issue.
