Ruger 22/45

I picked up a used Ruger 22/45 today. I was at the gun shop with my Christmas money looking at the .22 pistols trying to figure out what i wanted to get. I had shot my buddies s&w 22a before and really liked it. i was trying to decide between the s&w 22a the Beretta neos and and the browning buck hunter ruger was never on my list lol. There happened to be a guy there that was shopping to a carry pistol looking at Gloks and he was going to trade the ruger in. He said he wanted $125 for it but he wanted the gun shop to see what they would give him for it. While he was looking over the glock i was checking out the .22 it looked practically brand new. The guys behind the counter took the .22 and they agreed to give him $125 for. He still had the original paper work from it when his dad bought it for him in 2001. So i gave him the $125 did the transfer papers and was out the door. I think i got a pretty good deal this think looks practically probably less then 1000 rounds through it and not a scratch on it. Sorry so long winded here are some pics.

Nice deal. That's almost half price of what a new one (here) in TX would cost.
Looks to be in great shape.

I got a MKIII and the internal safeties they're putting in the new pistols are a real pain. I would have loved to have found a good MKII, or older 22/45.
Congrats!!

That is a real good deal on a real good pistol. It's about half price (for new) here too.

Congrats on the score!

Thanks guys, yea it was just something i just could not pass up it kinda did the proverbial kill two birds with one stone. It filled my wanting to get a .22 pistol to plink with and it is the one my g/f wanted as it was the first gun she ever shot. She is a Ruger .357 security six in the night stand lol but can't handle the recoil of .357 cause she has permanent hardware in her wrist so she is only able to fire .38 special out of it. Going to take it to the range today and try it out the new addition.
