Classic Arms Snake Eyes "Deadly Deuce"?

Anyone know anything about this gun? I could only find a few things about it online. One was a place selling them I believe and the other was a sports illustrated article from 1977. According to the article, they sold for $40-60.

My dad has had this gun for as long as I can remember. But I dont know anything about it. It does have papers with it, and it comes in a wood case. However, it has been sitting for quite some time, and has some pretty bad rust on it. I was wondering if it would be worth it to clean up.

you could disassemble it, place it in a GLASS container w/ GLASS lid = filled with vinegar ( pistol is completely submerged ) , that should remove the rust

WHAT YOU HAVE IS AS THE ARTICAL YOU MENTIONED . THE GUN WAS MADE BY CLASSIC ARMS LTD. OF PALMER MASS OIT WAS SOLD AS A KIT OR COMPLEATED FOR THE PRICE YOU MENTIONED .I BOUGHT MINE IN THE LATE 70S THEY FIRE A 36 CAL. ROUND BALL ITS A SMOOTH BOREAND WAS AVALIBLE WITH WOOD OR PEARLITE THE WOOD GRIPS WERE WALNUT. I CANT BELIVE IT COULD BE WORTH MUCH BUT CLEANED UP THEY LOOK PRETTY GOOD. IT WAS INTENDED TO USE A #11 CAP AND 12 GRAINS OF FFFG BLACK POWDERAND .345 LEAD BALL WITH A .015 OILED PATCH.
AS FAR AS CLEANING IT ITS THE SAME AS ANY GUN HOPPES #9 AND THE RUSTED HAMMERS IM SURE IF THERE FINISHED ITS BEYOND HELP. JUST CLEAN THEM UP WITH A FINE WIRE WHEEL AND REBLUE I HAVE A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU WANT TO GO TO ALL THE TROUBLE I WILL COPPY IT AND SEND YOU A COPPY THESE INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDE INST. FOR COMPLEATING THE KIT.
BECAUSE THESE GUNS WERE KITS IT MAY LOOK A LOT DIFFERENT DEPENDING ON WHO BUILT IT.
YOU MIGHT ALSO CONTACT DIXIE GUNWORKS BECAUSE THEY SOLD HUNDRED OF THEN.
HOPE THIS HELPS. MINE NEEDS HAMMER SPRINGS AND SO FAR I HAVE HAD NO LUCK REPRODUCEING THEM. ps it was called the deadly deuce not double.
