Heh.

Yeah, if I had known that getting my first batch of guns would lead to a habit worse then heroin and gambling put together, I may have thought twice.

Not for very long, mind you, but I would have at least paused a bit.....

Need to get yourself a C&R license, Mr. Long. It will be the best $30.00 you ever spent!

Type 3 FFL license. It allows you to acquire Curios & Relic firearms...WWI, WWII...any gun that you can document the manufacture date of 50 years or older.
It allow you to purchase without going through a dealer.

Some newer guns are also on that list, like the CZ-82, Makarov, etc

And SKS's, some Beretta .380s a few years ago, CZ52's...

I haven't bought all that many firearms with my C&R...but my dealer discount from Brownell's has paid for itself many times over.

As Frenchy said, well worth the $30 fee and 5 minutes of paperwork...

I fondled a M1A1 today. My want list just gets longer also. I am to the point that I almost want to stop visiting gun stores.

Same here... the list never stops growing, but the cash in my wallet just doesn't grow that fast, so I stopped going to the gun shop.
With online gun shopping generally means cheaper, it's even harder to avoid as I can't stop myself checking out guns online once every 15 minutes... >"<
