I agree. It's hard to see from pictures what the fitting is actually like, but from a purely monetary standpoint the 1911 is worth more than the glock providing it passes a function check and doesn't have any serious flaws (i.e. cracked frame/slide, excessively worn barrel, etc).
A few questions you should ask are:
Who did the work?
Did a gunsmith do the work?
Did the owner?
Why is the owner selling/trading it?
Does it pass a function test?
What's the trigger pull/action like?
Is it gritty, smooth, or does it have a lot of creep?
What parts were replaced? What were they replaced with?
All that being said, I probably wouldn't do the trade if I were you. I like 9mms. I like that they're cheap to shoot, and I like that I can carry a lot of .355" diameter bullets instead of a few .451" diameter bullets. However, that's just me.
