I picked up a used PT 145 and it's a great firearm. The only issue I had was with about 200 rounds of mixed Wolf and Winchester, three rounds did not fire on the first pull. I had to pull 2-3 times before the round would fire. I'm still not sure if this is an ammo problem or a firing pin problem. Any ideas anyone?

With regard to the mag release location. I've found that you are a person that either hits it or not. I don't but my buddy released the mag each time he fires it and therefore the gun is useless to him. We just place our thumbs in different places. Mine is high and his is low.

After reading all the positive reviews, I grabbed one a month ago. When shooting at the range it does take time to get used to the trigger reset when switching from the xd, and it kicks alot harder.

Just got back from the range! I really like this little Taurus .40 MP... 200 Rounds with NO Problems! Also, fired about 100 thru the XD, didn't want it to feel left out

Here are some pics of the newbie!

I wrapped electrical tape around the hand grip just below the mag release to make a high spot. I'm hoping this keeps me from hitting it. As soon as the weather improves I'll be testing it.

It is a great performing pistol for the money.
