HK Variant 1
How can an HK variant 1 be carried cocked 'n locked with the safety on "safe", yet the safety still act as a decocker?
How does that work exactly, (hard to deep all 9 variants straight)

It does it very well, that's how lol.
Lever up=Safe
Lever in the middle=Hot
Pull lever down=De-Cock

yes it works well. The decocker is not going to be tripped accidentally it takes a lot more force to trip it.

I actually gobbed some bore paste on the parts and worked them for a couple days to get it to loosen up a bit. Nice and smooth now but still requires a good pull to de-cock ( more force than a Sig for instance ).
I think this safety/de-cocker is near perfect in concept on my USP and wish every pistol had it, the DA action is still firm enough that I have no qualms about carrying it with the hammer down and safety off as if it were a Sig.
