My New Wheel Gun

Sure, looks like every other stainless Ruger GP-100... but it's MINE

Got it for $493 NIB.

Just some quick 'n' dirty shots to settle the masses. Might do nicer ones later:

Nice, what caliber? Also looks like you need to update your signature now.

Did you see and SP101's in 357 while you picked that one up? I'd be curious to see the price.

Nice gun by the way, I like it.

I did see some .357 mag SP101s - I believe they were around $450, but I don't recall the exact price.

They also had one of the .327 Federal Magnum SP101s too. Was tempting but I wanted a 6" wheelgun.

Nice! I love the GP-100. Great price you got too. About $50 less than I've been seeing. Congrats!

NBD_MN,
Congrats on your new .357mag wheelie! I really like that white border on the rear sight... same as my S&W Models 686 and 29. Helps frame the sight picture quickly.

After you've shot her a bit, see if adding a bit of color to the front post helps acquisition. Both my 29 and 686 have an orange insert on the back ramp portion of the front sight. The pic below shows it pretty well. My Model 19 has the orange insert too, but the rear sight doesn't have the white border.

Good shooting!

Yeah it was down between the GP-100 and a 686 for me actually. They had such a good deal on the GP-100 it really sealed the deal.

I'll see what I think about the sights - I like the white outline too; maybe I'll add some sight paint or nail polish to the front sight for some color if I feel it needs it. Thanks for the good info!
