NFA or Revocable Trust -- Assistance
I'm having issue setting up my trust, really my lawyer is as my request is his first in this field. He's anxious to get into this line of work for his practice and get my trust established.
He called this morning asking if I know anyone that has a trust established that might be able to provide a copy so he can use that as a template to draft my trust. If anyone here can help by providing a copy of their trust (or a resource to obtain generic copy of an NFA/Revocable trust), please PM me and I can provide you my information.
Thank you in advance

No offense intended but are you charging your lawyer for the research that YOU are doing for him to end up charging you for??
Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine. I work in a state regulatory agency - and this happens all the time. Lawyers will call and we give them the answers to their questions and then they go to their clients with it acting like they are some kind of authority in the field.
Your situation appears a bit different in that you have a closer relationship with him. Otherwise it would seem really dumb to come back to the client for the information you need to help the client.

He's not charging me, he did some work for me the past through my companies pre paid legal service. When we got to talking I asked him about setting up an NFA trust, it's not covered under my plan but after talking some more he agreed to look into setting up the trust in his "down time" as this is not his normal client requests. He's doing this more as a project to grow his firm into this line of work and to be able to offer the service....he's already recieved several calls from people I've referred.

If you can find a specimen trust, why on EARTH would you pay a lawyer to print it for you? A lawyer isn't required for drafting a trust document.

unless you know your particular state's laws in regards to trusts, its worth the $$$ to at least have a lawyer review it to make sure it is kosher under your states laws...

Truthfully - I tend to tell clients many times that there are cheaper ways to do things rather than to pay me to do it.
This is one of those cases to where I don't think that is the case though. Too little room for error.
