Greetings from New Orleans
Started shootin in Sept. 2005, two weeks after Katrina passed through. A friend loaned me an old P-39 9mm. Started doing homework to own my own and in Feb. 2006 decided the XD-45 service was the best way to go for me. Needing much practice, I added an XD-9 service to lessen the cost of practice. Love'em both.
Last year after reading many pros and cons about the 40 cal. I bought an XD-40 in service to try it myself. Liked it enough to buy a second one for practice and to always have one cleaned and ready for carry. Wouldn't want to have to stop someone with a dirty pistol and have them get an infection. Love the both of them too. Now the only thing I thought could use some improvement for me was the grip. The plastic and little bit squarish grip would move around a little in my usually dry hands. Before I could effect a remedy for the situation, Springfield brought forth the XDM which solved my problem. So in summery: XD-45 5500 rounds XD-9 14,000 rounds XD-40 #1 2500 rounds XD-40 #2 800 rounds XDm 650 rounds I love everything about this XDm except it sometimes doesn't feed. Eight sometimes to be exact. And for this reason, I have come forth out of the lurking shadows to say hello and to inquire the minds of fellow XD Talkers. I'm going to mosy on over to the XDm forum area to explain the full story with pictures. Best regards, Jachin |
