Newbie w/ a new XD .357 Sig pleads for info
Hello All,
I treated myself to an XD .357 Sig caliber and was told by the gun shop owner that I can order a drop in barrel in 9mm and .40S/W to cut back on shooting expenses. I put 100rds. through it today and was AMAZED at the accuracy, lack of recoil, trigger speed and really loved the safety grip. Three questions: 1- Where do I get these barrels and are they literally drop-ins? 2-I struggled terrible with loading the .357 Sig rounds in the clip, is there a loader for this weapon? I'm certain I will get better in time, but I felt like I was trying to tie my shoes on a roller coaster today. 3-My indoor range only allows lead rounds, which I have been unable to find in the .357 Sig. Any Suggestions? Thanks and I look forward to being a part of this community- Steve |

Nope...=(
No speedloader but I will look into it..I go 225 and am pretty good shape- I couldn't get down to the 12th round...it was driving me nuts. Thanks for the reply! I will be looking ASAP to get a loader.

Some of the drop ins will require a little bit of fitting, but you should be able to do it yourself. Here is a conversion barrel from a great XD sponsor:

on the mag, you might need to disassemble it if the spring is hung up or folded strangely. I have heard that of happening.

Second Mag is much easier...
Thanks- I will take it apart and see what the snag is- The second factory mag is much easier to load, still getting used to the .357 Sig crimped round-
