Ummm, yea they are, I have one. Buy a .40 and convert it down to a 9mm. Get your barrell (and magazines) from PistolGear, they'll hook ya right up.

Actually the 9mm conv. bbl is pretty sweet, I like it!

If you buy a XD9, you can't convert that to anything. (not sure if that's what you meant)

Welcome to the forum from UT!

You cannot convert a 9mm to 40, but the 40 can be converted to 357sig or 9mm. The 40 mags do not work well with the 9, so get some 9mm mags if you buy a 40 and get a 9mm conversion barrel. Good Luck.

thanks for the welcome

Appreciate the welcome, folks, and good to be here. Also appreciate the info on conversions of the 40. (I figured maybe .40 for defense and 9mm more for practice. Will take it to the appropriate forum area, though.) Anyway, thanks much, and glad to be here!
