Hello from MO

Hi, just found your forum while doing a search looking for info on the XD40sc. I've been pocket carrying a Kel Tec P3AT for a year now and want more power. I was looking at .45's but don't think I'll actually carry one because of the size. I narrowed my search down to the XD 40sc and the Glock 27. I've decided on the XD because of the grip AND trigger safeties. The prospect of having a SA pistol IWB still worries me and I like the combination of having both safeties instead of just the trigger. Anyway, thanks for all the info!

WELCOME from a fellow Missourian!

I carry my XD45C daily in an IWB holster with no problems. Don't think you should have any with a 40SC

ok, don't laugh, but for now, I'm just using a cheap Uncle Mike's Sidekick IWB until I can decide between a Cross-Breed or a Comp-Tac

nice thing about it being a "universal" style holster is, I can carry my XD9SC, XD45C, or HK45C in it, and they all fit great, but I primarily carry my XD45C

It's funny you mention that because I just ordered one today. The plan is to try the carry method out with a P22 I have just to see if it'll drive me crazy or not! If I can stand it, then I was going to buy a crossbreed or comp tac.

I have a question for you...what size Mike's did you get for the 40sc? I hate holsters that don't totally cover the trigger guard. It makes me feel unsafe. I purposly ordered one that I thought would be overly large for the P22, and would be a little better sized for the XD40sc - a size 15.

Thanks for your help!

I have this one
MidwayUSA - Uncle Mike's Open Style Inside the Waistband Holster Right Hand Large Frame Semi-Automatic 4-1/2 to 5" Barrel Ultra-Thin 4-Layer Laminate Black

pics with 45c

completely encloses trigger guard, and has high enough sides where when I'm sweating, it doesn't get on the metal, and it does a good job wicking away moisture
